Communicating Arts Credit Union's Opportunity Checking Account is for individuals who have a ChexSytems record* but are looking for a fresh start and the chance to overcome past financial dificulties.  It gives you the opportunity to build a history of responsible money management and have the convenience of a checking account and check card, tools that save you time and money.

FEATURES:

     This training offers fundamental skills and practical know-how for deposit account management.  The class is provided locally by Consumer Credit Counseling Services for a $50 fee.  Your successful completion of this course will provide you with a certificate of completion and will be recorded on your ChexSystems report.

* People whose accounts were overdrawn and then closed by themselves or by their financial institution may be reported to ChexSystems as having a history of mishandling their account. Each report submitted to ChexSystems remains on file for five years warning  financial institutions, lenders and even potential  employers that you could be a credit risk. The decision to delete a report is entirely up to each bank or credit  union and its individual policies.
