How to Apply for CACU Membership                                                                                 

  1. To retrieve a Membership Application CLICK HERE (pdf) and complete the following information:
    • Box 1. MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION - Tell us who you are and how we will be able to contact and communicate with you.

    • Box 2. ACCOUNTS REQUESTED - Let us know what types of accounts you are applying for; check all that apply.

    • Box 3. OTHER - This information is needed if you would like to have a joint owner for the account or give other people authorization to make transactions on the account

    • Box 4. AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES - You and all the individuals with ownership or transaction authority on the account must sign the application.

    • ACCOUNT SERVICES - Check all the services that you would like to have for your account.  Your account statements will be retrievable through your Internet Branch acount unless you opt-out of our E-Statement program by checking and initialing your application here.

  2. Make a copy of your state ID, usually your driver's license, and include this with your application
  3. All members are required to maintain a $5.00 minimum balance in their savings account.  In addition, a $25 initial deposit is required to open a checking account. You may include the initial deposit with your application or include a signed request from an existing member, authorizing a transfer from their account.  You may also authorize a transfer from an account at another financial institution by completing an External Account Transfer form.  CLICK HERE (pdf) to get one you can print.
  4. Mail your application with the copy of your ID and initial deposit to us at:

What Comes Next 
Within 5 business days you will receive your new account number and information for any additional services you requested.  You will also receive your Owner's Manual with your Truth in Savings disclosures.

Use your new account number to set up a Payroll Deduction or Direct Deposit.  Many employers have their own forms or CLICK HERE (pdf) to get one you can print.  Our routing and transit number is 242076711.

To assure convenient access to your account, apply for an ATM/Check Card by completing and returning a separate application for this service.  CLICK HERE (pdf) to get the application.  Be sure to provide a four-digit PIN for yourself and for the joint owner, if applicable.
