1. What is a credit union?
A credit union is a not-for-profit consumer-owned cooperative, operated under the authority of the volunteer Board of Directors elected from and by the members. As a result of the ownership structure, services are delivered to create value for the account holders, not for outside shareholders.

2. Is my account insured?
Accounts in Communicating Arts Credit Union are insured up to $250,000 by American Share Insurance (ASI). Members' accounts are not insured or guaranteed by any government or government-sponsored agency.

3. Who can become a member?
Membership in our credit union is open to all persons, companies, and organizations and their members, employees, volunteers or associates engaged in the communicating arts. This includes but is not limited to printing, publishing, broadcasting, advertising, graphic arts, design, music, fine art, visual art, photography, performance art, and writing.

4. How do I open an account?
Use the Membership button on our web site for applications and instructions on what to include and where to send your completed forms. Or, visit our office during regular business hours.

5. How do I apply for a loan?
Complete a loan application on line through our Internet Branch, call to request an application to be sent to you by e-mail or the post office, or call to speak to a loan officer. There is no application fee. Click the link on our home page for current rates.

6. What is Member Select?
This relationship is available to members that have Direct Deposit of net paycheck to a Communicating Arts Checking account and a check card. It provides additional benefits that increase the value of membership in Communicating Arts including bonus rates on certificates and discounts on loan rates.

7. How do I set-up account access through the internet?
From our home page, click on "Sign up for Internet Branch." You'll then proceed through a series of steps to verify your identity, set up a password and additional security settings. After completing these steps you'll have access to your account by clicking on Main Menu or with the navigation menu at the top of the page.

8. What do I need to do to start using my new debit card?
You must activate your card by making a transaction or balance inquiry it at an ATM using your PIN number.

9. Is there a daily limit for ATM withdrawals?
The daily limit for withdrawal at an ATM is $210.
